Kay Heatherly has been a San Francisco Bay Area hypnotherapy expert for nearly 40 years. Your first 90-minute session will begin with her asking you to complete an intake sheet and a confidentiality agreement. Together, you will target your issues and establish your goals for your work––such as dealing with anxiety, fear of public speaking, fear of flying, insomnia, releasing toxic relationships, and breaking other negative habits, such as smoking, overeating, and social media addiction.
Most every session will include both EFT (letting go) and a Guided Visualization (positive imaging), which is the hypnotherapy segment of the session. As an experienced hypnotherapy professional, Kay’s sessions with you assist you in closing off negative neural (brain) pathways and creating new neural (brain) pathways, helping the brain to reorganize for healthier thinking and behavior.
To begin, you will discuss what you think is blocking you from achieving your goals – what you would like to “Let Go Of”. She lists these issues and you will let them go in the RELEASE! Method of the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), one of the Energy Psychologies… of tapping, releasing, and letting go based on ancient Chinese methodologies.

Next, you will discuss what you do want to have in your life in a positive way, such as freedom from anxiety. Kay will ask you to choose a safe and beautiful positive place to go to in your Guided Visualization – such as a warm tropical beach, a mountain top, a scuba diving descent, a canoe on a meandering river. Finally, Kay will guide you in your visualization through a Progressive Relaxation into a calm, relaxed hypnosis session, making the positive personalized suggestions you have already discussed, and create an audio mp3 recording which she will send to you as an email attachment which you can listen to between sessions and on into the future.

Making a Hypnotherapy Appointment
Maybe you have been referred by a friend or colleague or found Kay Heatherly’s information on the Internet. Please text her at 415.244.7620 to schedule a complimentary consultation to make your first appointment for a hypnotherapy session. You will spend a few moments telling her about your issues and making certain that you have a rapport. She will discuss with you that she likes to see clients for a minimum of three (3) sessions, regardless of your particular issues, because any issue is a process to be worked through. At the end of three sessions, you will evaluate your situation and decide if you feel complete or if you wish to continue with more hypnotherapy sessions.
Kay Heatherly will then discuss her fees with you. Be certain to tell her if you are a student, a teacher, or currently unemployed. Kay accepts Zelle, PayPal, credit and debit cards (which includes online fees).
She’s available for hypnotherapy on Zoom or FaceTime, Monday through Saturday, from 11:30 am to 4:30 pm. So please decide what day and time work in your schedule and arrange your appointment.
Your first session with Kay Heatherly will be 90 minutes and this time will be set aside especially for you. If after you have made your appointment and find that you cannot be there, she asks that you give her a two-day (48-hour) notice.
