“Kay helped me get rid of a strong and long smoking addiction in just 2 sessions! I started smoking when I was 13 years old and was still struggling with nicotine at 51, either in the form of tobacco, patches or gum. I did manage to quit for short periods but always felt miserable. Kay was recommended by a friend and she was kind enough to schedule 2 sessions during a short stay in SF (I live on Maui). The first appointment was emotionally intense and I found the practice of the taping mixed with the guided meditation extremely powerful. “Although I’ve seen several therapists, I find that Ms Heathery’s approach in which she asked me to identify what I ‘want to get rid of’ has been the MOST EFFECTIVE. She is excellent at accurately summarizing client input. She then uses a combination of the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) and Guided Meditation to assist the client in letting go of the things they had previously identified.  I found the EFT method effective, especially the part where she asked me to tap on areas of the body identified by Eastern Medicine practitioners and repeat personalized things like ‘I forgive myself, I’ve done the best I could.’ She also guides the client in a meditation while under hypnosis and provides the client with a recording of the meditation. “This review is long overdue! When I first got to Kay I was an emotional wreck over my relationship. I was so hurt and paranoid that that’s all I could think about.
