How Does It Work?

For anyone searching for hypnotherapy, Kay is a trusted professional who guides you into a state of deep relaxation. She slows down the conscious, self-critical part of your mind and relaxes your body to engage your mind in making important changes.

This altered state of awareness that we call “hypnosis” is safe. It is not an unconscious one, like being asleep or under anesthesia. We are always conscious in a relaxed state and aware of our surroundings. In fact, through hypnotherapy, most people feel a focused awareness, like losing yourself in a good book or listening to a favorite song or staring out a window to a lovely view.

Though based in the San Francisco Bay Area, she works with her clients virtually anywhere worldwide via teletherapy on Zoom, FaceTime, and WhatsApp.

Kay specializes in the concept of Neuroplasticity –– knowing that the brain can change! Old negative pathways can be reduced or eliminated, and new positive pathways can be created. Addictive, unproductive, or destructive patterns of behavior can be changed, as can long-standing issues such as anxieties and fears, which are reduced or eliminated for some of Kay’s clients.

Also, you don’t have to lie down; most clients lean back in a chair, on a sofa, or a bed. You can enter a state of deep relaxation standing up, even standing on your head. Patients don’t go to sleep; rather, they enter a state of absorbed awareness.
